The surest way to find the right fit is to compare your little one's measurements to our size chart. For the 0/3 Month size, the chest is 19.5 inches and the bootie runs 4.5 inches heel to toe, with each size stepping up from there through 12/18 Months at 22.5 inches chest and a 5.5 inch bootie. The pants have an elastic waistband with plenty of stretch, so if your baby is between sizes, sizing up is a good call.(AI Generated Answer)
Q: We bought this for our 14-month-old, and while the head piece was almost too tight to fasten, the rest of the costume is quite big. If we sized down from the 12/18 we purchased to the 9/12 month, would the head piece be smaller as well? If so we’re not sure what to do, because the current head piece is almost too small as it is, despite the rest of the costume being large on him. Thank you! (1 Answer)

The headpiece does have a chin strap with a hook and loop fastener, so there is some adjustability there, but our size chart doesn't include a headpiece circumference for any size, so we can't say for certain how much smaller the 9/12 month headpiece would be. What we can tell you is that the 9/12 month size has a chest of 21 3/4 inches compared to 22 1/2 inches in the 12/18, so the body of the costume would fit closer, but given that your little one's head is already nearly maxing out the current size, sizing down could make the headpiece uncomfortably snug.(AI Generated Answer)
