The Girl's Lydia Deetz Wedding Dress Costume is an officially licensed ensemble for kids that includes a layered Swiss dot tulle dress and matching veil, designed for fans of the classic gothic film. Lydia Deetz did not want a normal wedding. She wanted a ghostly one, in red, under a full moon, with a recently deceased groom. Your kid may not have access to most of that, but the dress? The dress is handled.
There is a particular commitment involved in showing up to a school event in full Lydia Deetz bridal attire, and your child is clearly ready to make it. The layered tulle, the long sleeves, the plastic comb tucking that veil into place — this is not an afterthought look. This is a reference only certain adults will catch and every kid will somehow respect.
Design & Details
The in-house design team made some very specific choices here, and the Swiss dot tulle layering is the one that earns the most credit. Multiple tulle layers give the skirt real volume and movement. Stretch mesh sleeves keep the silhouette elegant and the fit comfortable. A center back zipper makes getting dressed significantly easier than a ghost-officiated ceremony.
The matching tulle veil layers over a plastic comb that actually stays put, which parents will appreciate more than the kid will. Jersey knit lining keeps the dress comfortable against the skin. The fabric is 100% polyester and built to survive an entire night of trick-or-treating without losing its shape or its gothic dignity.
